Now i will be Threeby Jane Belk Moncure–these are older books, most libraries have the collections. This particular series by Moncure has one for every single age i am just One! i am just Two! etc.

Books about Families
Materials: Precut small people shapes (make many!) and many larger houses. This can be found in numerous ways:
The youngsters count out and name the true number of people that live in their residence and put them on a precut house.
You can program each homely home with numbers in addition to children then place that amount of people regarding the house.
If you precut them in various colors, the youngsters can sort most of the people by sizes, colors or match them to the matching colored house.
The beginning of the year is a good time for you to introduce these concepts.
Provide a product in small and sizes that are largeballs, stuffed animals, cut out people shapes) after which provide 2 boxes one that says Big and one that says LITTLE or SMALL. The youngsters learn how to sort by size.
Make puzzles available that have families in them: both table puzzles and floor puzzles. If you don’t have any, make one! Find pictures or print pictures from your own computer of families. Make a collage of it and then laminate and cut it out into large puzzle shapes!

How Will You Feel?
Have different tempos of music available. Play one song and ask the children which kind of mood the music is in-happy, sad, excited, scared, etc. The children then act out that mood through movement. Change the songs often and repeat!
Although health insurance and nutrition could be a layout by itself, it is great to remind the young children about remaining quite healthy through your exactly about Me Preschool Activities theme as well!
Play music and enable the children to become listed on you in some healthy exercise! “Let’s jog five times. Why don’t we jump four times.” Etc.

Tidy Up, Clean Up!
Add soapy water to your table together with your dramatic play dishes, pots and pans, etc.
Include sponges and towels!
Another reminder! an exactly about Me preschool activities theme goal is to find out about the kids and their families AND for the children to learn about their own abilities. Science gives them the opportunity to make inquiries about their environment and about themselves.
Exactly about Me Preschool Activities Height and Weight!
Materials Needed: a tape measure, a scale (for the children to stand on), paper and a pen
Weigh each young child and measure their height. Record the results and employ with the Me Book activity within the Writing Activities section below.
EXTENSION: Tape a paper that is large a wall and record on the paper each child’s name, height and weight. Leave it there all year. Re-measure near the end of the season! Our children LOVE this!

Materials needed: yarn, scissors, tape and marker or pen
Cut out a bit of yarn to measure each young one’s height.
Attach a piece of tape using their name on it in addition to measurment. Hang these from the wall.
Have the children compare their height and discuss short and tall.
Repeat this again at the end of the year and compare just how much they have grown. I work with 3 year olds and they love it!
Provide small plastic cups (clear) with water inside them. Provide eye droppers and small cups of paint for the children to experiment with color identification and color mixing!
Fold a bit of construction paper in two. Have the kid trace his/her hand and then assist them to cut their hand out (do not slice the folded side). When done, the tactile hand print should open like a novel.
Allow the children write their own name from the front and decorate the front.
Regarding the inside, write the date, the child’s name, their height and weight (obtained from the science activity when you look at the Science Activity Section above) as well as their birthdate!
In advance, pre-print each young one’s name on an item of paper.
Provide sorters (shapes, macaroni, etc.) for them to cover the letters of their name with.
At the beginning of the year, send a family group Collage request home. Let each family know that you will be focusing on an All About Me preschool activities theme and therefore here is the family part of that theme!
Ask each family to utilize the kid in order to make a Family Collage. The Collage can have photo’s on it with nearest and dearest’ names written about it. It can be drawn because of the child and family! That is a family event and the purpose would be to assist the children learn more about each other and each other’s families!
Supply the families a deadline for when they are due!
As each young one brings their collage or poster in, invite that child to point out each picture and name your family members for their friends at circle time!
Family Project Send home a bit of paper that says:
“(childs name) is special to Mommy and Daddy because. ” Have the parents fill it out and come back to school to go within the All About Me book.

Among the ways my students and I also become familiar with each other is through making an “All About Me” book. The children and their parents find the packet up on
“meet the teacher” night, per week before school starts. There are 11 pages such as This is me, this will be my children, i prefer the colour. An animal i prefer is.
At school I would like to learn about. I wish to be a ______ when I grow up, i love to eat. I am ____ years old, I am special because.
The household and kids decorate these pages any real way they want and then send them back again to school 2 weeks later. Meanwhile, the kids and I use watercolor
paints and bling to decorate their covers. I also paint one of their hands while making a handprint in the relative back cover. Our school name and are written on
the inside cover year. The covers are done on cardboard so that they hold up and are laminated as well. The front cover has a first day picture associated with the child while the title
All About ___. I punch holes within the binding side and use zip ties to keep them together. These books are kept into the classroom all year and then go back home
when it comes to summer. These books are looked over more than the other books inside our classroom. Just thought I’d share that idea.
